2. Book title.
The title of the book should not have had the "!", so it would have been called "Above the Mage".
But "Above the Mage" is occupied, so I can only add "!".

So after a long time, it doesn’t bother you anymore.
3. Regarding the style of the book
First of all, although the background is Western fantasy, this is because the mage and the Western fantasy background are a natural match, and it would be too confusing to change to another background.
However, when coding, I did not deliberately choose words and sentences to fit Western fantasy, nor did I deliberately avoid Chinese words.
The reason is very simple. Because it is written for Chinese readers, there is no need to increase the reading threshold.
And this world was created by me, and I legally enjoy the final right of interpretation.
I even tried my best to lower the reading threshold that may arise in the Western fantasy setting. For example, I cunningly used "Chinese" foreign names for the characters' names: the same will be true for future important characters such as Gothe, Amy, and Pierre.
To tell the truth: The background of the mage is Western fantasy, but the foundation is still "fantasy".
After all, the classification I gave it is fantasy and otherworldly continent, not fantasy.
However, this does not affect that it will be a very pure mage text, and there will be no fighting spirit warriors or the like.
Hmm, and it will still be a "clichéd" novel. Like Swordsman, it will have many "clichéd" plots and an extremely "clichéd" ending.
Of course, it is very different from sword cultivation.
After all, sword cultivators and mages are very different.
4. Prices and Economic System
As you can see, prices are an extremely important part of this book.
I stitched together the price system of medieval Europe and 19th century Europe.
Why do we need to sew like this?
Because this is an extraordinary world, the gap between the rich and the poor is too big, the people at the bottom are still living in the Middle Ages, but the high-level people can already enjoy many alchemical creations similar to modern technology.
In addition, most of the prices of ordinary items in this article can be found by searching the data for introduction to scale armor, so the prices of these items should be quite different from the actual prices.

However, there are a few items with prices. I searched the information on Baidu and could not find specific data. There was only a rough introduction, so I could only make calculations based on common sense and the prices of known items.
For example, regarding the price of wheat bread, what I found is this sentence: "Historical records show that the price of wheat bread can range from several times to more than ten times that of rye bread."

There are still traces of the prices of ordinary items, but the prices of extraordinary items can only be set by myself.

The pricing of different types of extraordinary items generally follows one principle: the price of repairable items of the same tier is about ten times the price of disposable items, and the maintenance fee is the same.
Following these two principles, pricing should be reasonable in most cases.

5. About dnd
Most of the spells in the book are taken from dnd.
Because in terms of spell settings, dnd's spell system is undoubtedly the most complete and rigorous.
But it is not all copied, and some magic modifications will be made, so when reading, don’t completely copy DND, let alone use the settings of DND to diss your friends.
In addition, only the spell entries are taken from dnd, and other background settings are created by myself.
Also, before writing this book, I had no contact with DND at all. All my understanding of DND was memorized by reading the information.

6. Update
In the opinion of most readers and even the author, the mage's achievements so far are very average.

But actually, for me, I am quite satisfied with the current results.
After all, it took four months for my friend's Sword Master to be written before it was put on the shelves. When it was put on the shelves, the total collection was less than 1,500.
But in the end, 1,500 collections were put on the shelves, and the 50 or 60-ordered Sword Master has been completed with more than 3 million words. The average order now is 5,000+.
When the mage wrote for fifteen days, the collection exceeded 1,500, and now it is 1.150,000 collections.
What more bicycles do you want?
Having a beginning and an end is the author's conscience, and I will continue to maintain my conscience.

7. About the Protagonist
The protagonist in my novel is lawful, neutral and kind-hearted. Anyway, I will not write a particularly violent protagonist.

Let me use what I said when I was doing this sword practice: This is a typical difference in thinking. You may not like or agree with it, but you cannot get angry because of it or feel that this choice is wrong (just words and expressions).
The identity of Gaode as a mathematics student at Peking University is mainly because I think "magic" and "mathematics" are actually very similar in temperament and have something in common.
In my opinion, the reason why the protagonist can become the protagonist is not only the golden finger, but also personal ability.

Of course, this is my own statement, and many readers will simply and crudely define it as "water".
But no matter what, one is that we have worked hard to check a lot of information, and the setting background must be drawn bit by bit, so as to increase the texture of the world.
The simplest example is prices. If there are not enough detailed descriptions of daily life, in everyone's opinion, there will definitely be no difference between 300 gold coins and 30,000 gold coins. It is just a numerical difference, which has no real sense at all.
The other is that online plots require logic, and logic needs to be foreshadowed.
Give an example.
For example, in reality, I need 500,000 yuan, and I never buy scratch-off tickets. Today I went out and bought a scratch-off ticket and won 500,000 yuan. Is it logical?

My first goal in writing is to finish writing the novels I want to write, no matter how good or bad my grades are. If I can still make money, that would be great.
My job is not bad, it is stable and barely enough to make a living, so I don’t have to suffer.

But I still have to say that Mage and Sword Cultivator are two completely different styles of books. If you like them, of course you are welcome.
